Palak paneer

With the outbreak of covid 19, we all are forced to remain quarantine at home. This is a very critical situation for the whole world. The only thing we can do to ensure safety of everybody is social distancing and maintaining hygiene by wear masks and gloves and using sanitizer.

Since we all are inside our houses and can’t order food, I tried palak paneer. I tried this and it turned out really good. I hope you all like this.

Ingredients

Spinach ( palak) – 100 grams or 2cups

Cottage cheese (paneer) – 150 grams

Butter – 2 tablespoon ( you can also use oil)

Onion – 1 medium size

Garlic – 4-5 cloves

Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon

Garam masala – 1/2 tablespoon

Salt as taste

Chilli powder – 1 tablespoon ( I like my one spicy but you can add as you like )

Turmeric -1/2 tablespoon

Coriander powder -1 tablespoon spoon

Fresh cream – 1/2 cup

Recepie

Wash the spinach a nd blance them for 5 minutes. Put them in ice cold water to retain the colour After cooling, grind the spinach in a puree.

Now put a pan on medium heat and add some butter in it.

When the butten starts to melt, put cumin seeds and let them crack.

Now add garlic and onion and fry it till the onion get a little brown.

Now add all the spices tumeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and a little bit of water to mix the spices well.

Now add the spinach puree to it and let it cook for 15 -20 minutes.

After the gravy get cooked, add paneer cubes into the gravy and cook it for another 5 minutes.

Now add fresh cream and turn off the heat.

Your tasty palak paneer is ready. Server with chapati, naan or rice.
